Kayaking

Took a beautiful 7 mile kayaking trip down the Shenandoah River, it almost took my last breath when I was trapped between 2 rocks, my kayak and a intense rapid. miraculously my guardian angle was there to pull me out eventually! following that was a restless night of food poisoning, shakes, river cuts and bruises! welcome to VA Clark!!

Our Last Weekend in San Diego before the big move

WOW, what an amazing, beautiful, tasty, busy and emotional weekend. It broke my heart to say goodbye to San Diego for the last time. After the movers came and packed all of our stuff up, moved it and drove off with my Prius...Jonathan, Buddha and I said goodbye to the condo and headed to the Kona Kai Resort on Shelter Island. Buddha was very uneasy about the whole move, but he ultimately did wonderful. On Friday night when we checked into the hotel, our good friends (Amy, John and Timmy) came over for drinks before we headed to the Bali Hai (our wedding reception spot) for Mai Tai's and appetizers. After dinner we headed to the Pearl for an emotional night cap. Saturday, Jonathan and I woke up and headed to Sammy's Woodfire pizza for lunch and then headed to our old hood in OB. It didn't help that our last weekend was the most beautiful day of the year so far. We played in the waves and headed back to the hotel for a bay side picnic with friends. Our good friends (Erica, Bryce, Ian & Brody) came over and we enjoyed one last sunset, wine and a wonderful picnic on the bay. We said our goodbyes and woke up the next morning to head to the airport. I cried the whole way to the airport and we stopped off for one last lunch of In N' Out. five hours later, Buddha, Jonathan and I arrived in DC. we checked into our new temporary housing and so the story continues.....
