Columbus Milestones

Megan and I were in Springfield, Ohio for a wedding yesterday and kept hearing about this great restaurant located in Columbus, Ohio, that was right on the river.  We had never been to Columbus, so we decided it would be fun to spend the day there and catch up with a girlfriend of mine from San Diego. The restaurant is called Milestone 229 and it has beautiful views of downtown Columbus, Bicentennial Park and the Scioto Mile. After a day of shopping we headed to happy hour.
We grabbed a great table at the bar and ordered our first cocktail. I ordered a "Strawberry Basil, (Buckeye vodka, strawberries, basil and lime)" and Megan ordered the "Sparkling Pear, (Grey Goose La Poire, Prosecco sparkling wine, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur and lemon)". Both of the cocktails were delicious and refreshing on this beautiful spring day.
My girlfriend, Sarah (from San Diego), currently lives in Columbus, Ohio, so she came down to meet us for Sunday Funday!!
She arrived just in time for our appetizers to arrive. We ordered the "Really Good Hummus, (marinated artichoke hearts, olives, oven-dried tomatoes and house pita)"
And the "Pig-Nic, (crispy pork belly, pickled watermelon, jalapenos and hot honey)".
We admired the view and had some hilarious girl talk..
Girls just want to have fun, so we took a ton of selfies, haha!
If you're a fan of elevated comfort food with a great atmosphere, you will love this place! Eventually Megan and I headed to the airport and flew back to DC. Great day with my sis and a an old Cali friend!!
