Brown's Famous Donuts on the Ocean City, boardwalk.

HJonathan and I are in Ocean City, New Jersey for a week with the family. We arrived last night (about 4 hours from DC) just in time for a delicious seafood spread supplied by my amazing mother-in-law. There are ten of us here, so we all got settled into the beach house. Jonathan grew up going on family vacations to Ocean City. His parents have  friends here and it was a regular summer trip during his childhood. I on the other hand have never been here, but was pleasantly surprised. It's known as a family-oriented seaside resort and has prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages within its limits since its founding in 1879. At first I was a little hesitant about this......."What, no wine with dinner"? Luckily, there is a huge liquor store as you approach the Ocean City bridge, so we stocked the beach house with tasty beverages. While growing up, Jonathan and his family would ride their bikes on the boardwalk every morning and  pick up donuts at "Browns Almost Famous Donuts". For the past week he has been talking about Browns donuts constantly, so the first thing we did was take our mountain bikes for a 5 mile ride down the boardwalk and then......yep, you guessed some famous donuts!!!
The line is usually long, but they are pretty quick to fill orders......we waited 15 minutes.
And watched them prepare these tasty treats.
The donuts literally come out of the fryer as you order them.
We got a dozen donuts consisting of a mixture of vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon and honey.
And dug in....WOW, I'm not a big donut fan, but these were phenomenal. Crunchy and hot on the outside and moist on the inside.
After we inhaled two donuts, we headed back to beach house to share the rest with the family. Browns is a definite must if you're in Ocean City, New Jersey.
