The Clam Bar

We packed up the beach house and headed to Atlantic City, NJ after a wonderful week with the family. On the way there, we stopped off at Smitty's Clam Bar in Somers Point, NJ. Somers Point is located  ten miles south-west of Atlantic City on Great Egg Harbor Bay. The restaurant is more of a seafood shake with a great view and great food.  Its been around for 40 years or so and is definitely a locals joint, as well as a tourist attraction. We sat down and ordered the fried clams to share and cracked open a cocktail. They don't serve any liquor at the Clam Bar, so you have to bring your own.
The waitress (who was delightful)gave us a complementary clam chowder tasting. They serve New England Clam Chowder (White) and Manhattan (Red). They we're both pretty good, but I'm definitley a New England fan!
I ordered the Crab and Tuna Salad and Megan ordered the Fried Oyster Po' Boy. My meal was delicious and I'm assuming Megan enjoyed hers since she inhaled it in two bites. She must have been hungry, ha!
After lunch we took a couple photos and headed to Atlantic City for all the shenanigans!!
