A touch of Munich in Philly!

Jonathan headed to Austin, Texas for a bachelor party this weekend, so I hopped on the train and visited a girlfriend in Philadelphia. After a quick two hour train ride from DC, I arrived at the 30th street train station in Philadelphia. My girlfriend was there waiting to pick me up and our girls weekend begun! We headed back to her adorable apartment located in the Fish Town neighborhood and headed out for the night. She lives right next to this wonderful German beer garden called Frankford Hall. This place is really great, they have a huge outdoor sitting area, great food and even better beer! Its a German “biergarten” with a modern edge.
Once we arrived, we ordered a beer and saluted the weekend. They have up to nine beers on tap at any given time an can be ordered by the half liter or in a massive one-liter stein.
We were a little hungry, so we ordered a warm Bavarian pretzel with cheese sauce, the cucumber salad with dill sour cream and a bratwurst to split.
The signature warm Bavarian pretzels are bigger then your head!
If you want to experience the closest thing to a Munich beer garden, you must try Frankford Hall, located in Fish Town, Philadelphia! After our beer garden fun, we jumped in a cab and headed out for a night on the town......
