My Road to Motherhood: 13, 16, 18, 20, 22 Week Baby Bump Update!

How far along: I am currently 22 weeks pregnant!

Feeling: Amazing! Better then ever! I have a ton of energy and the pregnancy is feeling so real!! I am bonding with our son more and more every day and it's the best feeling in the world! We are starting to get the nursery preparations in order and figuring out what we're going to do regarding day care.

Symptoms: I have occasional heart burn that comes and goes. If the old wise tail is true, our son is going to come out with a full head of hair because of it. I have to be careful about how I sleep at night because if I sleep on my back, I have lower back pains in the morning. Trying to be better about sleeping on my side only to avoid back pain in the morning. Pre-pregnancy I went to the restroom once and hour due to the large amounts of water I consume, but now with my son sitting directly on my bladder, it has become a once every 45 minute occurrence.

Weight Gain: I have gained a healthy 12 lbs. so far.

Stretch Marks: None so far

Sleep: Pretty good. I toss and turn more then I used to pre-pregnancy and take more bathroom breaks, but overall its pretty consistent and enjoyable.

Movement: Out little boy is a mover and a shaker! He is always moving, especially after mommy eats. I feel him constantly and am getting to know his sleep patterns. Daddy felt him for the first time the other day and was soo happy about it. :) 


Cravings: SWEETS! Anything sweet really! Pancakes, Cakes, Ice-cream, Chocolate, Lemonade, etc. I try to keep it healthy and limit myself to sorbet, frozen yogurt, fruit and smoothies, but every so often a girl needs a banana split!


Missing: Sushi and Jacuzzis. I have been craving some Tuna Tartar and good old fashion Nigiri lately. I told Jonathan our first date after our son is born will consist of wine, sushi and Jacuzzi time!!

Exercise: Limited. My doctor put me on pelvic rest a couple of weeks ago which means: no running, no jumping, no lifting anything over 25 lbs. and no sex (UGH). I have been walking, gardening and doing hot yoga on a regular basis.

Excited for: Our ultra sound this week that will tell me if I no longer have to be on pelvic rest and our baby moon to Turks and Caicos in two weeks!! Only 18 more weeks until we get to meet the love of our lives!!
