Jonathan and Megan ran the 39th annual Marine Corps Marathon over the weekend and dominated the charts. Jonathan finished in the top 5% and Megan finished in the top 9% for gender. Even more importantly, they ran in support of TAPS (The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) and raised $660 in honor of Captain Seth Mitchell and 3 other Marines who died in a mid air helicopter collision while supporting ground troops in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The Marine Corps Marathon was established in 1976 and is currently the third largest marathon in the United States and the eighth largest in the world. The whole event was absolutely spectacular, patriotic and inspiring. These men and women are our true hero's!
The night before the race we took a nice family stroll on the national mall.
Feeding the little prince on the mall.
Papa and his little buddy
They found each other just in time for the race to start!
