2015 Year End Review!!

2015 was such an amazing year filled with memories and firsts!! We rang in the New Year at my in-laws new farm and visited lots of museums in the district. Austin got his first passport stamp in February when we went to Playa Del Carmen for a week as a family! He is definitely my child and LOVES the beach and sand in-between his toes!

We headed to Phoenix, Flagstaff and Sedona, AZ in March to visit Papa and Grandma Joann and got snowed in. It was such a wonderful couple of days sitting around the fire and bonding with Papa. Austin also turned 6 months old and started to sit up amongst many other things.

April was full of many fun Spring playdates to see the Cherry Blossoms and other DC gatherings. We celebrated Easter on the National Mall and then headed to Grammy and Poppi's for little boys first EasterMy mom asked me what I wanted for my first Mothers day and my only request was to spend it with my baby, my hubby and my mommy, so she booked a trip and came to visit for a week. We visited a few museums, wineries and had a great time!

Jonathan celebrated his first Father's Day in the Outer Banks, NC when we took off for another beach trip and Austin surfed for the first time (Kind of, ha). Austin also received his own personal tour through the US Supreme Court and got to meet Chief Justice John Roberts, hang out in Justice Anthony Kennedy's office and meet all of his law clerks that thought he was adorable as can be.

In July, Grandma came back to VA and brought all of Austin's cousins for two weeks of summer fun. The whole month was spent swimming, going to Luau's, farms and eating ice cream with his cousins and Grandma! I also went on a girls trip to Charleston, SC to celebrate Meg's final days as a single woman.

We jumped on another plane and headed to San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego in August to visit all of our friends. We went wine tasting in Napa and spent time on the beach in CA!

Our sweet little boy turned ONE years old in September and we threw him an amazing "Sock Monkey 1st Birthday Party" to celebrate.

October was full of apple picking, pumpkin patch fun and weddings! My sister-in-law married her prince charming and we gained an amazing brother! The wedding was spectacular and Austin was the cutest little ring bearer ever! We also threw daddy a spectacular birthday bash to celebrate the BIG 35 with all our friends and family.

We prepared for the holiday madness in November and counted our blessings at Thanksgiving.
December is always the most magical time of the year and we headed to California to celebrate Christmas with the family. We also took my nieces and nephew skiing and snowboarding for the first time ever and they loved it! We celebrated New Year's Eve at my brothers beautiful home dancing, eating and talking about the best moments of 2015!

Christmas 2015

Happy Holiday, From the Oliver's!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas filled with love, laughter and family! Christmas with kids is the absolute best thing in the whole world! Austin is still a little too young to appreciate it, but his older cousins sure do! We flew to CA this year to celebrate with the family and had the best time. Every year for Christmas Eve, we have tamales and make egg nog. The kids always get to open one present and than its off to bed for the littles. Christmas day is so memorable every year, but now that we have Austin, it is magical! Here are some snippets of Austin's 2nd Christmas!!
I sure do love this family of mine!!

Family Pics 2015

Hey Friends!! Sorry I have been so MIA lately on The Luna Vine! Between the holidays, Project Nursery and our sweet little man....I haven't had much down time for myself. My goal for the New Year is to take more time for myself, because in the end it will make me a better mom and wife for my two favorite guys!

My sweet little family and I had a good friend capture some photos at a local park a few months ago. We needed a new photo for our Holiday card, so she took photos of my family and I returned the favor with photos of her beautiful family. It was surprisingly super HOT the day we took these photos, so as soon as the shoot was over we took off some layers, threw on some flip flops and headed to a local winery for some snacks and wine. The kids ran around and got sweet little compliments from everyone about how cute they were and the adults laughed and sipped good vino!

Hope you enjoy our family photos!

We spent another amazing holiday at my in-laws farm for Thanksgiving this year. Last year Austin was just an itty bitty tike, so we were reflecting on how much he has grown over the past year. I have so much to be grateful for this holiday season and the number one thing is my beautiful family. Austin is healthy and happy and makes me the happiest mommy in the whole world. Our days are filled with so much love and laughter and I soak in every second of every day because he is growing up so fast and I wish I could just freeze time!! I'm thankful for my amazing husband who works his butt off to provide the best life possible for our family and me the ability to spend my days raising our son. I'm thankful to be a work from home mom who gets to experience the best of both worlds and to be part of such an amazing company. I'm thankful for our cozy home and how much love fills it and I'm thankful to be alive and happy! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

All Hallows' Eve!!

I took Austin to the pumpkin patch a few days before Halloween to play with his friends and run around. His little girlfriend dressed up as Dorothy and Austin was the cowardly Lion. It was the most adorable thing watching them follow the yellow brick road and look for the wonderful wizard of OZ! After about an hour, Dorothy started clicking her heals and we knew the time had come, after all, there is no place like home!! :)
For Halloween this year we threw a big Monster Bash. It's Jonathan's birthday, so we invited all our friends and family over to help us celebrate. Jonathan was Dr. Henry Frankenstein; I was the bride of Frankenstein and Austin was Frankenstein himself!! He was the most adorable little Frankenstein and had the Frankenstein walk down to a T! We took him trick-or-treating for the first time around the neighborhood before everyone arrived and he had such a good time. He wasn't too excited about the free candy, but loved putting all the rocks, leafs and acorns he could find in his basket.

Jonathan always jokes about his love for pinatas, so I found a pumpkin piƱata and filled it with adult treats for our guests and we had lots of delicious food, yummy cocktails and decadent Mocha Cake.   It was a smashing good time had by all! I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween with your loved ones.

Young love at the Pumpkin Patch..

We took our littles to the Pumpkin patch today for some fun with friends. Austin and his little girlfriend insisted on matching outfits, so we dressed them in her favorite designer, Toorahloo. These two are too stinking adorable for words and make every second so much fun. I hope you enjoy our fun little photo shoot..
