Date night to see "Book of Mormon"

Date nights are extremely important! Unfortunately, Jonathan and I have only been on two since little A was born. It's actually pretty sad, but we just love hanging out with our little man so much!! However, the two dates we have had, have been spectacular. I think I fall in love with my husband all over again every time we go on a date! He is always a gentleman, but when it's just the two of us, his charm and chivalry still gives me butterflies...11 years later!!! For our special night, we went to see the "Book of Mormon!!!" We have been wanting to see the musical since it came out, so we were extra excited to get all dressed up and head to the theater! Before the show, we went to a raw bar in DC for some oysters and martinis! The show was even more hilarious than I imagined and we were laughing historically the whole time.
It is a must see!!

Birthday fun at the winery!

For my birthday this year we went to Fabioli Cellars in Leesburg for a little wine tasting and fun! The winery is absolutely beautiful and the wine tasting consists of 7 fine wines paired with 7 food bites created by their local food artisans. Jonathan surprised me with a 24-77mm lens for my birthday, so I had a ton of fun playing with my new toy. My sister-in-law surprised me with a delicious chocolate cake that we all devoured! It was the absolute perfect birthday with my two favorite guys and friends! I'm so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life and a man who treats me like a princess on my birthday and everyday of the year!!!

Austin in TEN months!

Happy TEN months to my sweet happy boy!! I can't believe you're officially in the double digits. I have already started planning your 1st birthday party and still can't believe how grown up you have become. You are such a sweet boy that is full of laughs, giggles and smiles. Sometimes we watch you through the monitor and you just hang out and laugh all my yourself in your crib. You are such a little water boy and love all the time we spend at the pool and the beach.

This month you started pulling yourself up on everything and scooting across furniture while standing. You hold on with one hand and explore everything in your path. Its been so cute watching you explore every nook and cranny of our home. We bought you a learning walker toy this month and you took your first assisted steps by yourself. I got it on video and Daddy cried when he saw it for the first time. You are so close to walking on your own and becoming even more independent.

You still only have 6 teeth, but I think more are on the way.  You absolutely love feeding yourself and are such a good little eater. You eat three meals a day, nurse three times a day and have snacks in-between meals.

Grandma, Kayelynn and Colton came to see us this month and you had so much fun with them. You are beyond obsessed with your cousins...especially Colton! You watch his every move and have the biggest smile on your face when he is around. It makes me so happy to see you with all your cousins and your Grandma! They are so in love with you and you love them!

Happy double digits my sweet love!!

American Girl with my favorite girl!!

Jonathan and I got our niece her first American Girl doll last Christmas and I promised her we would go to the DC store while she was visiting this summer. She is ten years old and growing up fast, so I want to cherish her as a sweet little girl for as long as I can. The American Girl store is every little girls dream come true! It's full of adorable dolls, cute outfits and fun accessories. After we shopped around a bit and picked out some cute clothes, we took a break at the American Girl bistro. My niece got a vanilla milkshake and we waited for her dolls hair appointment. They called her name over the intercom and her doll(Sophia) had her first haircut and style. I'm so glad I got to experience this with her before she grows up on me. I wish she would stay aunties little girl forever!

Hawaiian Luau!

My beautiful friend threw a Hawaiian Luau last week full of all the essentials. There was a Hula Show, Henna tattoos, amazing Hawaiian BBQ and great company. Here are some pics of our day.

A day in DC with the kiddos..

We took the kids to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in DC over the weekend. After we toured the museum, we went to see the white house and some other attractions. It was my nephews first time in DC, so he had a blast running around and taking it all in. Here are some photos of our day in DC!
